Two companies, one desk

Two ways to cover
your freight.

Volt is two companies behind one phone number: the trucks we own and the network we broker. Every load gets checked against our own board first, and the same dispatcher stays on it either way.

When it goes on our deck

Company trucks and company drivers on our own authority and our own insurance. You get the driver's direct number, photos at load and unload, and one company accountable from pickup to signature.

  • Flatbeds and step decks — the only decks we own
  • Company units, leased-on owner-operators and owner units we manage
  • Drivers on our payroll, not a rotating pool
  • Best fit for heavy equipment, steel and oversize
  • Houston metro, the Valley and 48-state runs

When it needs another trailer

We only own flatbeds and step decks — so anything else rides on our brokerage side. Lowboy, RGN, van, reefer, volume that outruns our own decks, or a lane running the wrong direction for our trucks. We source it from carriers already vetted for authority, insurance and safety record, and we still own the update.

  • Lowboy, RGN, dry van and reefer capacity
  • Multi-truck projects and plant relocations
  • Surge capacity during shutdowns and turnarounds
  • Carrier packets, COIs and authority checked before dispatch

Two companies, one phone number, one dispatcher. We tell you up front whether your load is moving on a Volt truck or through our brokerage — so you always know whose authority and whose insurance are behind it.

Why shippers keep calling

Our trucks when it fits.
Our network when it doesn't.

Most brokers have never touched your freight. Most small carriers run out of trailers and tell you no. We do both sides in-house — our own trucks on our own authority first, a vetted carrier network behind them — so the answer is a truck and a date instead of a callback.
